Well, I am seriously behind schedule, but nonetheless I'm pleased with how this sergeant came out. The final "Horus Green" I've settled on is a 2:1 ratio of VMC Pale Greyblue to VMC Gunship Green. This is painted over a basecoat of pure Gunship Green, and edge highlighted with white.
The base is made from cork and baked Sculpey that I made into a tile pattern. I'll post up how I did that later this week. The theme I'm going for is the shattered ruins of the Precentor's Palace on Istvaan III.
I've got a lot of work to go if I'm going to make the first throwdown challenge this Friday- back to work! :)

The model is primed black, airbrushed with VMC Gunship Green, and then painted with a 10:1 mix of VMC Pale Greyblue to Gunship Green. I painted a hard edge highlight of pure Pale Greyblue, but I think future models I'll go with straight white for more pop. I'll also be using FW Sons of Horus pads, which this guy doesn't have.
The base is not the final one I'm going to use, but it was close enough at the time. I'll make a later post detailing how I'm making bases for them. In the meantime, thanks for checking this out!

I'm having some problems with my airbrush tonight that I'm still working out, so no painted pic tonight. However, here's a conversion for the sergeant of one of my Legion Tactical Squads that uses Forge World Mk IV armour and Sons of Horus etched brass, Space Marine Assault Squad and Command Squad plastics, and a cut up Dire Avenger helmet crest.
More pics to come- the Legio Malaysia Army Throwdown is ON!
