Last week I finally finished this for my budding Sons of Horus 30K army. This is the first time I've tried "color modulation" by shading with my airbrush between Gunship Green, "Horus Green", and White. Up next will be my converted Garviel Loken for the next Throwdown...
That's very nice! Great to see it live last night. This is going to be a sweet looking army
ReplyDeleteFantastic work! I can't wait to get started on my Emperor's Children for 30k
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get back home hommie and to feast my eyes on the Sons of Horus!
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed! Congrats on winning the elites throwdown homes!!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys- I really appreciate it. I thought Khairul would win for sure Friday night- I'm humbled mine took the win :)
ReplyDeleteWHOA!
ReplyDeleteNow I know why Khairul only managed second place, that's really nice dude!
Yah, very very nice indeed.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
ReplyDeleteAs Jayne would say "Shiny"
ReplyDeleteNicely done dude! Well done.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Though I would be more happy if got side/rear view.
ReplyDeleteYou know, once one reached Jeff's mastery in the basics of modeling we can literally go straight to looking at the Tertiary issue of the work in question.
ReplyDeleteIf this is a cake there is nothing much to add as it is, but the icing part can sure be implemented to make the cake more outstanding.
Personally I would like it slight more weathered :) and some company markings would add really nice finishing touches to an already brilliant work.
Also, try using a piece of approx A3 size art card on the edge of a wall for seamless background.
Can't wait to see the rest of the legion :D
Hey thanks again guys- your comments are a great motivator for me to get 2K of 30K done! :)
ReplyDelete@Wong- Definitely agree on the lack of weathering dude, but this is one project I've decided to go "old school" on and paint everyone clean n' pretty like I used to do back the USA. I've also forgone a lot of additional markings on whatnot for a clean aesthetic. I really like the extra "pop" from having these guys so bright and clean :)
